Samsung A3 and A5 shows up!

Among the  S6 rumors, these new devices from Samsung show up!

A3.
Quite interesting phone I must say. Running Android 4.4.4 with the usual stunning 4.5 inch AMOLED display this one actually makes quite a good first impression! Available in Pearl White, Midnight Black, Platinum Silver, Soft Pink, Light Blue and Gold, there's a good customization option. It was announced on October and is available from this month(Dec, 2014). The Processing Dept isn't bad. With the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410, 1.5GB RAM, the Quad Core 1.2 Ghz processor comes along with the Adreno 306 GPU! The Cameras are also putting up a good show with an 8MP back and 5MP front one which will be OKay for daily use! Geo tagging, touch focus and panaroma are supported by the camera! The Body build kinda reminds me of the Alpha. :P

A5.
The notable differences are that it has a 13MP camera and a 2GB RAM! Otherwise both are the same.

Thank you for reading! Keep reading cuz readers are winners while we bring you more. Btw, I forgot it's 31 Dec. So Happy New Year. Expecting to see a LOT more in '15! Thanks once again! ;)

What is the expansion for AMOLED?

We have all heard about the AMOLED displays... but the time has come to actually understand its expansion from Tech Reads.
AMOLED is a type of display and it refers to Active Matrix Organic Light emitting Diode.
It usually provides excellent clarity but readability is kinda low in sunlight as some of you might have experienced.
Follow Tech Reads every month which gives you interesting information on day to day tech which might come in handy.
Follow and +1 for more. Keep reading cuz readers are winners.

TECH READS: How Touchscreens work.

So, yeah! As I discussed earlier we will be looking into different aspects of technology each week!Today we will look at how Touch screens actually work!

1. Screens have a grid of tiny driving lines going through them.

2. Each of these contain a small voltage.

3. When you touch them, it causes a change in the local electric field.

4. The voltage disruption is detected by a controller and it identifies the axis. Thus, it carries out the function it it supposed to.
Next time you use your phone, remember All these things happen right under your nose!

That was a really small and Very fascinating one. Wait for the Next tech reads until next week.
Keep Reading cuz readers are winners!

Innovation at it's best from Linshof i8.

German Company Linshof has come up with a really innovative and cool one this year end! The i8, comes loaded with Android and has something different and really good to offer!

There are loads of Android Skins BUT this one has really caught my eye. It's simply like Windows embedded in Android. It's first looks seem awesome and looks like a phone worth checking out.
Some things that are really great here are 3 THINGS.
First is the OS. It is Just awesome and I think it's going to be extremely productive.
Second is the Internal Storage. It's got 80 GB. What else?
NEXT, is the price factor. With ALL these, it just sets you back by $380 which I guess is pretty okay for such amazing specs.
It's body design seems pretty solid and it has greatly curved top corners.
You are also gonna love the specs of this one.
It has a 13MP Back Sony CMOS sensor accomponied by an 8MP front camera. Octa Core With each clocked at 2.1 Ghz is pretty cool! 3 Gigs of RAM! That's awesome! Apart from these, this has a Slim form factor. Probably this one is gonna make a huge hit!
Based on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with hardware accelerated Linshof UI. No added trialware. No in-phone advertisements - the clean and lean system has been carefully tweaked for this specific hardware. It’s very fast and responsive and comes with an optional tile-based user interface.

What Phone do I buy right now? (2014)

That is a frequently asked question. If you are willing to buy a phone and you are confused which one to buy since there are huge number of phones right now. That's why at Tech MattersPlanet, I provide you help on what phone which might just suit you! The suggestions are accompanied by explanations about why I suggested that.

So, yeah. The main factor I feel decides what phone you might want to own in your budget or how much you are willing to spend on your device. I have sorted my suggestions based on the Price tags.

Under $160 (About Rs. 10,000)

In this budget, I sincerely prefer a Windows Phone. Other Android Phones are good but when compared to Nokia's Hardware quality, I strongly support Windows Phones. Low Budget WP have excellent hardware quality which thereby increases your performance. I feel, you will be satisfied with your phone speed.
-> The Nokia Lumia 630
-> The Nokia Lumia 525
-> The Lumia 535
EDIT: Xiaomi 1S (Put forward by our Fan, Keerthivasan)
You can maybe try the Moto G2 as well! ;)

Under $330 (About Rs. 20,000)

Very interesting budget. Android Phones are cool here!
-> The Moto X Android works perfectly with this great phone)
->The Sony Xperia ZR (Good back camera maeks me suggest it)
-> The Nokia Lumia 730 (Good Solid build. Available in Orange)
-> The Sony Xperia C3 (Good front and back cameras including 4.4)

Under $500 (About Rs. 30,000)

I found the best range of mobile here! Just perfectly will suit your daily use, gaming, internet etc.

-> The Nexus 5(Though a bit old, its still a great device. Can be rooted to 5.0)
-> The Lumia 1020(If Mega Pixels, matter then this 41MP giant is the best)
-> HTC Desire 816 (Take that for the front facing speakers)
-> The Moto X2. (the later upgrade for Moto X)

Above $500

You can't beat this range. Probably the best one. Has loads and some of the best phones. Display clarity, gaming and internet is a great experience here.

-> The HTC One M8 (Awesome phone. Guaranteed)
-> The Samsung Galaxy Alpha(My most fav. phone from Samsung yet)
-> The iPhone 5S/iPhone 6 plus(You decide between that XD)

-> The Xperia Z3(Sony have their best phones here, believe me)

So, yeah. That's all. Hope you have got your phone for the season. I have given suggestions and reduced the huge no. to a smaller no. for you to choose. I assure you your choice from this would be great. Hoping to see you with your new phone and you enjoy it.

My Dream Tablet, 2014

My imaginary view of my Dream tablet with Front facing Speakers

Sorry, I got it late guyz, But finally here it IS! 'My Dream Tablet for 2014'. If you had missed my 'Dream Smartphone',

 http://techfrome.blogspot.in/2014/11/my-dream-smart-phone-2014-version-1-my.html

With November being a good month for tablets, here's my 'Dream tablet'. Tablets are always a large screened, mostly non calling(Due to their size, maybe) devices.
So, here's The D tab(I call it). It has quite a middle sized display which diagonally measures 8.1". That's some where between the current tabs(the iPad mini, 7.9" and the Nexus 9, 9", Nokia N1, 7.9"). The display also supports a HD AMOLED tech display. A larger screen may not always mean huge size cuz the bezels are thin and the breadth is less as well which makes holding in one hand easier. The biggest thing I have added here are 'Front Facing Speakers', located on the bottom of the tab. I had a concern about its position but I guess that wont trouble and be perfect for listening as well. Other specs include a 8MP Back Camera and a 2 MP front. That's enough for a tab I guess. 8 MP pics wont eat up memory so that's a plus. 2 GB RAM mixed with Android 5.0 Lollipop will make a perfect pair. 32 Gigs will be perfect for internal while external storage can be added as well. For a premium feel, a metal band around the D tab is just perfect for holding.
So, here's the SUM up (guyz suggest a good processor for this)
Name: D Tab
Camera: 8MP and 2MP
Internal: 32 GB
External upto 64 GB
RAM: 2 GB
Display: 8.1" AMOLED HD Display
OS: Android 5.0
Speakers: Front Facing Speakers.
Let me know about your views. Please thumbs up if you like. Comment below if you have any idea about the processor. thanks for reading, Keep reading!! :)

Why the Nokia N1 is certainly going to ROCK?

The Nokia N1 Tablet

This is the Brand new Android tablet from Nokia. It was announced and I am gonna tell you why this tablet is certainly gonna rock the whole tablet show!

Ever since, this tablet was announced, people are waiting expectantly for this to arrive in their countries. This, as well know is the first tablet from Nokia after a long time. Moreover this is an Android powered device. It's got Android 5.0 with Nokia's own Z Launcher. It's first pictures give us an image of a stylish tablet with an around 7-inch display. The UI looks elegant and neat. Nokia was a brand which everyone believed in (They do now too). It is known for it's great Hardware quality and user friendliness. Nokia was a company which dominated the Phone market before Apple and Samsung even did. The Finnish company, I feel is very reliable. Such a company didn't have much popularity in the recent times. Microsoft Acquired it and all those stuff happened. So, it's a long time since people even saw anything great. So, here's THAT moment. Nokia has this awesome tablet which, I believe WILL be a tough competition for other tablet makers. This tablet has put Nokia ahead I must say. Though we are yet to look at it's full review, My first thoughts are that it has excellent features and it will be reliable. I am very sure this is gonna make a huge bang and people will look to buy this one! The Technical Specs of this tablet are very convincing apart from it's look. There wont be any doubt on Quality factor because it's Nokia! \m/
